Happy Canada Day

Happy Canada Day

“We are an idea in the process of being realized we are young we are cultures strung together then woven into a tapestry and the design is what makes us more than the sum total of our history we are an experiment going right for a change”

Slam poet Shane Koyczan electrified the country with his ‘We are more’ performance during the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Olympics. With Canada Day 2012 on the horizon, it’s the perfect time to reflect on his well-chosen words. So on July 1st, as we proudly wave the ‘red and white’ to celebrate our nation and our people, let’s remember that we are the ‘what’ in ‘what’s new’; we are ‘the true north strong and free’; and ‘we are (most definitely) more’!
